My portfolio is very imbalanced because of Google stock. It is like 40% because my net worth itself is low. πŸ˜†πŸ˜”
I do wanna get into other FAANG stocks.

Is this a good decision to do it now. The timing can't be worse is what I feel. All other FAANG have grown up so much while Google is still relatively low. I would be selling low priced item and buying high priced.

Should I do it now? Should I wait? Should I do it in intervals like some GSUs every month? Should I just don't do it?

DCA is mathematically proven to underperform buying all at once. However, DCA provides emotional insurance.

    • DCA also provides volatility insurance. DCA over 2020 is better than buying all in Jan 1

4.18 is correct. Anti-DCA keep not even understanding DCA premise. DCA isn’t about better expected value. It’s about volatility reduction and risk/reward, the same used to understand returns. It’s like no shit 100% stocks is better EV than 50/50 stocks/bonds, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want some bonds...

Lol. Who in their right minds would hold GOOG? Keep selling whenever you can

  • You already have significant exposure to GOOG by virtue of getting your paycheck from them, and I assume restricted stock grants (not sure how it works there). Consider exposure to other industries as well.

Maybe wait on Apple till after the split and it gets a little stable. Facebook might be good long term now. Same with msft. Although I feel like msft doesn't give crazy returns. Apple and Facebook would be perfect
