Is Shopify overpriced?

I know Motley Fool has them as a top pick but the valuation is close to $170B now with a P/E of over 70. Does this stock have more potential to grow (3x from here) or will it crash before that?

    Well it is a story stock. And the story is that it is going to eat Amazon's lunch... So looking at it from a p/e lens might not give you the whole picture

    Isn't the whole purpose of Shopify to buy stuff for cheaper on Amazon and resell it there for more?

      If the markets were that rational then Tesla for example would be worth a fraction of what it is today

      True but EV is here to stay and the only competitors Tesla has are old world companies like Ford and GM. While Shopify is going against the likes of Amazon and Facebook and Google (three of FANG have a stake in e-commerce and are only wanting to grow that).
