I currently have three offers and I'm trying to gauge which role would be best careerwise. I don't want to pigeon hole myself and I just want to know which companies/roles would get me the best mobility in the future. NVIDIA - Systems Integration HW Role, Working on setting system power policies and integrating low power features of silicon into the greater system. Apple - Display Hardware EE Role, Design and bring up of display modules for consumer Apple devices. Amazon Lab126 - Electrical Engineer Role, Design and bring up of next gen Alexa powered family of devices. Which do you think would be the best option and why?
Skip the lab 126 role Unless you like working on iterative improvements (nothing disruptive)
Can you please elaborate?
Nvidia offer looks like it offers a system level knowledge and the compensation probably beats others.
Also make it a poll.
Done
TC?
Display HW role at Apple would give you better scope to learn than systems integration role at NVIDIA. Use Nvidia offer to negotiate with Apple.
Is nvidia role towards exclusively towards post-si system power management? Sounds like tuning/validation?
Tuning/validation but also bring up and design of new features eventually
Cool. Sounds promising, congrats. If designing new features matter to you then just make sure you are set up for that - in many hw org structures platform/sys arch drives new features with integrators as stakeholders, not designers/drivers.
Bring up is always pressure plus shit from all ends.
Congrats ๐๐พ๐ how did you get all these offers? They seem to be quite different roles. What is your background and yoe??
