Facebook l5 - 205/600/100 with 15% bonus
Netflix - nothing final yet but can beat fb.

I am looking for inputs on
1. Future prospects
2. Stress
3. Culture

From what I hear, it's stressful at fb to make sure you create an impact Everytime and may be so is Netflix. Can someone compare the 2 ? In

Guaranteed both will have interesting things to work on so really it comes down to what will work best for you as others have mentioned.

If reading the culture memo on Netflix doesn’t freak you out ( it’s fine if it does ) then maybe that’s a solid option from a culture perspective. It’s hard to say which is better as I have no idea what you value in work and a work environment, but maybe just ask yourself which one excites you more.

Try this. Flip a coin. Assign one side FB and one side Netflix. When it’s in the air think about which side you want it to land on. When it lands, never look at the coin just go with the one you wanted it to be.

I appreciate the culture at Netflix. But at the same time, I also value career growth in longer term. I have 10 yoe and am concerned what happens when I move out of Netflix say in a couple of years. Generally what have been the various avenues for people moving out of Netflix after a few years?

Living in Los Gatos is way better than living anywhere near FB campus

  • Congrats. Join the team you enjoy more. Netflix is highest stress obviously (it's advertised in their deck) but keeps the low performers out which is nice.

How about comparing time in traffic? Or you can always move near.

Yeah if I consider commute, its way better for Netflix (15-30 mins versus 60-75 mins )but want to pick what's best for career growth. I may get used to the commute but I do realize I will have to move closer after some time to cut down the commute
