Possible to get an offer above Robinhood's Zone 2 comp max?
I live in a Zone 2 city and I'm applying to work at Robinhood as a senior engineer. (Recruiter said Robinhood levels are now changing. A senior will now be considered "L5". Formerly, I think senior was "L2" or "L3"? but I'm not sure and that doesn't really matter for this post)
While talking about scheduling the final round, the recruiter told me that the max offer for an L5 in a Zone 2 location is:
Base: 160k
Equity: 600k equity / 4 years
TC: 310k
How realistic is this as a MAX offer for my location? Saw a post from a few months ago where someone on Zone 1 had an offer of "210k + 700k + 80k/2 years", (making their TC 385k + bonus).
Any chance I, in Zone 2, can get negotiate an offer somewhere between 310k and 385k? Or is 310k the ceiling? Is Robinhood strict about their zone compensations? (Also, I have't had the final round interview yet, so obviously the 310k max isn't even guaranteed.)
