Hi owners,
For the ppl who bought homes in mountain house CA for > $1.2 mil i would like to understand your rationale. Yes u get a bigger home but its freaking far. Tomorrow if you want to change jobs which don't have remote, u r OK commuting am guessing.

No other options. Everyone can’t afford 2M homes in tri-valley. Even I am thinking of buying SFH in Gilroy or MH.

Based on this sub-thread and the overall thread, one can assume OP wants to buy in MH and is discouraging others from doing so in order to get a more favourable price.

So I'm trying to understand the rationale of this post? Do you want to form a mob and curse MH homebuyers? Why do you think you are so superior or have you lost multiple bids and now having sour grapes? What do you know about the working or economic status of people who have bought in MH?

You got the rationale: larger and more affordable home, but with a longer drive (and potentially no public utilities). We considered it once, but decided to forgo the idea.

Again you have to time the buying the house as far as MH. Else u will end up buying at peak. Bay area market inventory is only going up from here. Builders are waiting to step on the acceleration and institutes will sell their properties to.some extent. Lets see from a year from now it will be a buyers market.

Yelp, don't get too defensive. You voice your opinions without data and disparage others by saying "trust me bro". Good for you if you are successful with your 'predictions'. But don't be too cocky about it. Your good time may run out sooner or later and you might welp.

Oh clever desperate homebuyer, please read again that I'm not making any predictions and don't want others to do so when clearly nothing can't be predicted.
