I recently had my onsite Google early career campus interview. Here's my experience -
1) Non technical - Googliness (5/5)
Talked about my resume and project. Questions like "tell me about a time when you faced challanges/tough colleagues etc"
2. Tech 1 - Question similar like about find distance from each pixel in matrix
I used bfs for every node which made it n^4 but could have been optimized using dp. So 3/5
3. Tech 2 - Simple work break type question
Blanked out because interviewer wanted to push in other direction but still wrote a working code with few boundary cases missing. 1/5
4. Tech 3 - Sort using heap. 2 part questions, nailed both. Optimized follow up using heap. 5/5
5 Tech 4 - Couldn't solve the intial question of shortest path but solved follow up of returning any valid path in matrix maze solve using dfs. 3/5
No idea, what will be the result. I think I am on the boundary.
What you all think?
