Those who work remote with different time zones, how’s that working out with you?

Due to the pandemic, WFH is becoming more or less a norm and companies are open to hire remote workers in different time zone.
If you work in different time zone than your company HQ, how do you make it work so it will not affect your WLB too much?
Example: if you’re in CA but your company HQ is in NY and the company like to have early meeting (8 AM EST), would your company be flexible and push the meeting to later time so you don’t have to wake up at 4 AM?
