Got a message from eero's recruiter on LinkedIn. Couldn't find much information about this company. Does anyone know about this start-up? Any current employees here? Is it worth trying?
I’d avoid. Layoff is real and company is in full on cost saving mode right now.
Thanks
Hello OP... they did raise quite a bit of money previously. I’d say your friend should definitely try if he gets an opportunity to work on stuff he’d never get at brocade. Always a +1 if the money is good 😬
I don't think it's wise. As everyone said, layoff. It was 20% and also a small company. My interview process with them took months, and then the layoff happened and yeah, I think they were interested but they're still trying to figure themselves out. Interview process kinda shows this. The layoffs were scattered across the company. Folks said they really like it there, though. I think they have good intent on a lot of things within their company but it's not there yet and they're still learning as they go.
Thanks.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
I’ve last read some news of layoffs at eero. They are in the distributed WiFi space ... think Google WiFi but a lot more expensive. My understanding is that they were one of the first to the consumer WiFi market but google/ netgear have largely taken over market share. If I were you...I’d rather stay at Amazon and transfer internally to lab 126 if you want to work on consumer devices. Quite frankly...only the big players like apple, google and amazon with the eco system play can truly succeed in consumer hardware space in the US. My 2 cents 😬
Thanks
Welp, now you can stay at Amazon and transfer to Eero if the deal closes!
