why are parents so worried about their unvaccinated kids (less than 5 years). what data are you folks looking at, especially given UK just made vaccine available for kids less than 12.

do you worry the same about you getting exposed to COVID as well, as a vaccinated/boosted person I assume. if not why not? #covid-19

Name an entity that lies more than governments. You can't, no one can. But yeah, we can definitely trust them.

    • They only said that it's safe to not wear a mask, because it's politically convenient. They have quite literally changed the quantified metric thresholds to suit their agenda. Also, saying no need to wear a mask, which is the default human condition, is unnecessary.

The sentence itself is meaningless. What does safe mean?

  • I don't understand this either. Shouldn't engineers be able to understand data? The data is clear that covid19 is not even close to being a risk to kids. Flu is at least an equal statistical risk but no one ever freaked out about that.

People over-weighing or entirely inventing the risk of something and getting scared of it is nothing new.

This happened for all kinds of events you can conceive of time and time again for centuries.

The society used to be afraid of black cats, witches, ghosts, black magic, curses etc.

The enlightened and civilized people of today are too smart for such nonsense of course. Nowadays, smart people only believe in the mainstream sanctioned view of the world shaped by a new group of clergies with new religious ethos.

Not worried at all, never was for the most part, as it was clear pretty early that risk was very low for them. People are just bad at assessing risk and have been overexposed to this one, so it’s the only thing they think about.

Also, I’m pretty sure vaccine for <5yo will not be approved at this point, so it will be interesting to see what these people expecting it are going to do longer term.
