for anyone in UX, what’s the typical TC for entry level user experience designer (fresh grad or just out of bootcamp)? and where are you located?
I’ve seen between 80-150k TC in the Bay Area. This was a few years ago though so could have grown since then. Bootcamp might be lower if you don’t have any internships/real world experiences. 80 a bit on the low side, I think that was base. But there weren’t any sign on bonuses and not a public company.

In Austin area, between 65-100k. Ditto that it would be lower end if boot camp and no internships. An internship and a killer portfolio should ensure at least 80k.
I would say up to $100k in Atlanta if you’re lucky. $60-75k is more realistic, though. There is no bottom limit.
Yeah that’s true. Even in the Bay Area a really shitty startup might try to pay minimum wage. There’s also the worry that those placed don’t know what UX is and instead just wants a web developer or a “graphics” designer.
