You wouldn't have needed to. It's an arms race. Companies did not expect you to solve so many tough questions in such little time with such quality back then. Thought process counted for a lot more.
It's terrible now, candidates need to study super hard, and interviewers can't tell if you're good at problem solving or just memorized everything.
I think so. A lot of it is learning how to approach problems and dissect them into smaller pieces that are solvable. I do think I wouldn’t be as fast, but I think it’s still possible
