What’s the difference between an L4 and L5 at Google?
I am guessing things like scope (impacting beyond your product area) and team impact (mentoring or overseeing others on the team). Is there anything else / anything more specific?
If it differs by role, I am particularly curious about L4 vs. L5 for an UX Designer/Interaction Designer.
Many thanks!

You also need to identify and work on new opportunities (that your manager didn’t assign).
Managers tend to be vague, and project priorities change often. You also need to get the high visibility projects for promo, which is at your manager discretion. I’m still trying to figure out how to go from L5 to L6.
