Trying to figure out what's most important at this stage of my career. Want to move around in the next year-ish and already have recruiters from Meta and Amazon reaching out now, but I'm still trying to prepare for those interviews. I have a bachelors in IT and about 6 years experience (1 as a SWE, the rest as a code monkey / IT and network guy) Should I: Study CS (Codecademy Pro / freecodecamp / Open Source CS), Go to a part-time bootcamp (full stack / codesmith / hackreactor), Just grind (Leetcode / Codewars / Educative io / DS and Algorithms)??? TC: 90k
Grind LC ofc. The people doing Codecademy or bootcamps are those with no relevant experience and have zero recruiters reaching out
Fair, I've just been worried about what I missed by not going for CS from the start and I'm definitely interested in continuing down the SWE path.
All three imo
just got microsoft amazon and bloomberg, fellow self taught developer so i reccomend all three if you are aiming for 200k for first job
What resources did you find useful while learning on your own?
Read an algorithms book to learn any concept you donβt understand in blind 75. Then leetcode away
Any specific recommendations on algorithms books?
