Hey how was that Expedia employee meeting? It has always been a great company. is there a reason to believe in a bright future?
There will be big layoffs and restructuring of the business. They are not yet looking for a new CEO. Parts of Expedia might be sold off. Peter Kern is a private equity guy and will do what it takes to get the most value for the investors.
Well I know they didn’t say that in the meeting because it would have triggered panic and an SEC filing:)
Was this said in the meeting or is this your analysis?
It’s completely wrong and not remotely what was said in the meeting...not even close
Thanks for that. It didn’t sound credible. Can u shed any light on what was said? We need to execute better, we have a great co... along those lines or?
Y'all should be keeping this to the Expedia channel.
Ok sorry
I also sense layoffs. Of course Diller couldn't say it straight up, but he did mention to "simplify" things, and he was open to layoffs when asked about it. Mark o, however, explicitly said multiple times that the re org was not about letting people go, and he was let go. It also sounded like Diller was far from.satisfied by the status of the reorg.
Don’t ask public company employees these types of questions. You can get them in trouble with SEC for no reason.
That’s BS. Do you think senior leadership can tell material things to 24,000 employees without telling the SEC? Nope.
If that’s what you believe, then go ask the SEC what was said in that meeting...
Are y'all going through layoffs? I wanted to apply to Expedia
What happened?
Wondering same
There was an all hands on deck employee meeting following the CEO and CFO being forced out two weeks ago.
