Many countries do not have tax treaties with the US. Meaning even if you are taxed in the US, you'll still get taxed from the country of citizenship, just discounted.

this is not how taxes work. right now the “tax” you see is just your company taking money out of your paycheck for you in preparation of actually paying taxes in April (this is called withholding). bonuses are withheld at a higher rate by default than your regular income, which is why you see 41% for bonus vs 36% for your salary. you configure how much is withheld from your regular paycheck when you fill out the w-4 form.

when tax day rolls around, all the withheld amount is in the same bucket and considered income, so if you withheld too much, you’ll get a refund when you file your tax return. if you didn’t withhold enough, you’ll have to pay extra (with penalty if you there’s a large delta).

you can google the state and federal tax brackets to figure out how much taxes you will pay at the end of the year. note that your salary isn’t necessarily the number you look up in the chart - there’s deductions etc to lower your actual “taxable income.”

long story short, don’t worry about 36 vs 41% right now, it’s a marginal difference. figure it out when you have to actually file your taxes in the beginning of 2020.

H1b pay same tax as citizens/green card holder depends on tax bracket and before tax deductions. Search “take home pay calculator”, you should get it breakdown. Also, bonus has special tax rate.

Not true if you have dependants without a SSN. Dependants on H4 don't get issued with SSNs. And since last year, less deduction for them without SSNs, hence more tax.
