Sharing TC with parents?

My parents asked my salary for an impending job switch. I didn’t feel comfortable sharing 😅 I remember sharing with my parents the offer letter of my first job. Whom do you share your TC with other than blind?

      Late to reply, but you aren't from an asian household. ROFL my dad DEMANDED that I pay them an allowance to pay back for my childhood. I flat out said no because I already gave them couple of thousand dollars as gifts which I'm happy to do. I'm happy to help out when I feel like it but I don't think its my duty nor their right. They chose to have me.

    When I shared the TC with my parents, they started bragging about it with the neighbors and with their friends even though I told them to stop. I will never share my TC with them again in the future, unless I am getting married.
