I got an offer for a Senior Product Manager role with a customer experience/engagement company in Austin (Khoros). Here are the numbers. I'm hoping to get advice on how good/bad the offer is, and any advice on negotiating. I don't have a counter-offer but have interviews lined up with some bigger companies (Dropbox, Visa, Wayfair) Offer - $147K + 15% bonus (~170K) YOE - 12 (6 dev + 6 product) EDIT: I accepted the offer as-is. During negotiation the HR revealed that the ceiling for this role is at 150. I decided not to negotiate for 3K - didn't seem that much of a big deal. Thanks to all the people commenting and giving data points. #product #software #salarycomparison #salarynegotiation #sprinklr #khoros #adobe
Lowballed big time
Why do you say that? What range would you consider fair? Just asking so I could negotiate. Thanks!
Senior should be ~210-240 TC .
Don't ask for CTC review here. Everyone ( from FANG) will start discouraging you to indicate that it's 🥜. If you are feeling happy with next move, go for it.
Yeah I get your point. Thanks! At least 2 friends at Google also advised me the same. They said that 10-20K is basically not life changing money. If you think the offer is good enough, just take it, and later look for a bigger company.
See... most of the users (active) at teamblind are from FANG. So they don't see any other non-FANG numbers as reasonable. Whereas in general, Peoples are in range of 70-200k for tech roles. So just be realistic, and compare with similar segments. I feel that Glassdoor, levels.fyi is reasonable to compare your number in specific company. Key point is to ensure that you are getting right package in the particular organization
This is a really low TC. Even the most potent drugs would not make me feel happy about this
Should be higher than that for yoe.
Thanks! What range would you consider as fair? Just asking so I could negotiate with the HR.
That’s a solid offer! Congratulations 🎉
For Austin, its a great offer. Too bad Khoros is not public else you could have negotiated RSUs
Yeah they are owned by a PE firm, so no RSUs
147k for 10 YOE ? That’s quite Kharus. That’s like entry level pay at FAANG
😄kharus.. that's funny. But yeah these smaller companies generally don't/can't match FAANG offers. Also, this is in Austin which has some catching-up to do with the bay-area
Too low
