I got fired last week (6 months exp with them as project lead) from a startup (6 months old) for no reason, It was unprofessional, they took away all my access. I had to ask a colleague to get to know that I got fired. PM told me it was purely budget reasons. CTC was 6.5 lpa total in with a base of 4 lpa.

I want to do LC (even easy is hard for me without looking at solutions) and learn DS/ algos but I don't know how long it might take as I am with electronics degree. Worked with iot for 1 yearI have started with easys.

From all the articles, I see interviews are very hard.

location: India
total Yoe : 1.2yrs
ctc : 6.5lpa
base : 4lpa

  • It depends a lot on your skill and how much time you spend a day doing LC. It's also important to note that just grinding LC isn't good enough if you don't learn the concepts.

I'd recommend studying core concepts and then start doing LC. Once you can solve any medium in about 30 minutes and hards in a couple hours you're good to go. How long it takes to get there is going to depend on where you're starting and how much time you put in each day.

Coming from nothing, if you put in 8 hours a day, 3-6 months should be a good timeline.

Thanks for the reply. Would the hiring companies ask about the gap?

tbh I can last about 2 months with the severance.

    • I can't speak for Indian culture but for US companies, especially top companies, they focus more on your skill and will usually let things in the past slide. 2 months is tiny and I bet most companies would not care.
