I have 12 years of experience half as IC, half as EM in both big tech and startups.

At some point I want to go for exec positions (inside or outside of FAANG/tech domain).

I wonder if having an eMBA from top7 will help accelerate the journey.

Besides, I hope to also learn and build a network with a set of current/ future leaders which is hard to do by yourself. Lately I feel that I am not growing as much as I used to in past and this might be a good way to spend resources on.

Assume that the tuition fees is not a concern.

Tc: 700k.

No. Emba is a glorified networking program and top employers wonโ€™t even bat an eye to it. You might get more recognition at traditional companies like consumer products, telecom or retail.

Your track record and ability to network are much more important.

I did an EMBA program at UW foster, it is useless in itself but it is great when it comes to networking as you meet some really amazing high profile people from big companies

I will recommend switch to a start-up and see it through.. u can decide early vs late stage startup based off of your financial ability. Life will teach you things much much better than any emba.. and yes, networking is required..
