Cruise is great, but legacy automakers (other than VAG maybe) don’t seem to give a shit about their grandkids.
And Lithium recycling, while possible, is extremely difficult and expensive. Which explains why even Tesla is doing it on a small scale. And then comes the problem of toxic waste disposal, electricity generation and distribution.
Yes, Tesla is nudging the world and speeding up the EV adoption. But, we still don’t have a complete answer in terms of recycling. And in the battery day all Tesla is investing in is to make batteries more efficient. No one’s talking about increasing the recycling efficiency.
