Aurora acquired Uber ATG
It's so funny to think.. ATG acquired Otto long back. Actually Otto's business model is much better than ATG. With lot of negative rumors about ATG capability, eventually it ended up with Aurora and probably would work on trucking again. How is the ATG employees mood ? Unvested RSU converted to Aurora Options ? Any layoffs again Aurora employees, how do you feel about this acquisition. I hope that the post acqui-layoffs that come along dont shoo away the better half of the people at ATG.
Most ATG folks are getting transferred to Aurora, Uber stock continues to vest for a year. Otherwise you get a nice severance package, or get moved to a different org in Uber.

does it worry anyone at uber that the company is shedding businesses outside of rideshare? the diverse business lines used to be part of the appeal?
Rides + Eats + Freight is big enough for Uber to focus on. Plus Uber Ads in the future. When money is no longer an issue, reinstall Aurora/atg is not impossible
Well Uber wonât be able to âreinstallâ us as an acquisition. Itâs at the core of Auroraâs mission to remain independent. Uber can certainly be a customer/partner though đ
