Hi, I've got offer from facebook which seems to me very low for Menlo Park. 150 base, 10% bonus, 100K RSU over 4 years. I believe it's very low in RSU size. I managed to get base increased to 160 but offered RSU is still the same. Trying to get interview at google and apple but the process is very slow. Any ideas how to negotiate on higher RSU number? I think mentioning "I know Facebook is paying more to others because that said on level.fyi" is bad idea. How would encourage hr to offer more RSUs ? YoE 6
Low ball to me.
How was your interview like? Any tips?
1. networking 2. system design 3. systems troubleshooting 4. coding 5. soft skills coding was the easiest, but it’s subjective opinion system design was tough, but if you prepared for such things you know what to do networking was pretty deep in explanations, but I think I prepared well, tcp/ip illustrated book covers all troubleshooting, you should know how things work and what to measure to know why its performing bad + what to do to make it better soft skills, just situational questions
Thanks for the detailed response! I'll PM you if I've any more questions. Good luck at FB.

Do people underestimate E6 role at meta?
Is systems engineer E4 or IC4? Is it HW or SWE? If you are in HW then the RSUs will be about half the expected SWE RSUs.
I was told E4, it's neither swe nor HW position. Position in Enterprise team. There is plenty of sub teams which work on all sort of automation inside Facebook infra (provisioning, monitoring, containerization, configuration management etc)
I believe it's same as SRE SE at Google however I might be wrong.
