Folks , I just had my onsite for the role of Production engineer and waiting to hear back. I wanted to check what the criterion is for the interviewer to give a hire ranking to the candidate. Is the evalaution objective or just how the interviewer feels about the candidate . Also should we have answered 100% of the questions for an e5 role? Appreciate the feedback from people at Fb and those who went through the same process ? Will one bad round be a deal breaker?
It’s not easy to say. Generally, the level of the question and the expectations from that particular question determine how you’ve performed. It’s better to just wait and watch :)
Answering all questions ‘correctly’ (depends on how you define this) or optimally is not required. One bad interview is not necessarily a deal breaker if the other rounds were good/very good. Evaluation is as objective as possible. You’re basically compared to the expected minimum ‘hire’ performance. What this means, depends on the question, particularly how difficult it is. For easy questions, the optimal answer might be expected. For harder questions, not so much. However, correctness is really important. A lot of times, I see candidates so focused on trying to achieve an optimal approach that they’re super stubborn, unwilling to receive hints, and end up wasting time with incorrect solutions.
Thanks !
Was that a coding round? Do they ask coding for PE interview?
Yes they do
Did you make it?? I am curious now:)
Haven’t heard back yet .. still waiting 🤔
Still no response!!:/?
No still waiting
How the loop looked like and different from swe which is usually 3 coding and 1 sys design
Yeah I think the coding round shouldn’t be as difficult as swe or Is it??
Can you please share what sort of questions they asked in coding and systems round?
