Amazon does the same thing.
They don’t owe you an explanation so they try to minimize the chances of getting sued
Nobody shares feedback after interviews, regardless of whether you pass or not. Nothing personal. Your best bet is to get friends you have in these top companies to do mock interviews with you and give you actionable feedback based on that.
I’ve gotten feedback from AirBNB and Pinterest. In one case the recruiter told me which interview I did poorly in, which was helpful (since I thought it was a different one). In the other the recruiter actually went interview by interview and told me the feedback.
That's strange; maybe because they're smaller companies with laxer processes? The big ones (Microsoft, Google, Facebook) wouldn't share. There is no upside for them, other than disgruntling you or potentially giving you more ammo for a lawsuit.
Good recruiters find away to share something of value while avoiding potential legal issue. Tight rope walk.
I recently interviewed with them and they shared feedback with me over the phone. It’s quite in-depth and I really appreciate it. Maybe different team has different policy?

I worked for a big company as a recruiter there wasn’t a “no feedback for legal reasons policy”. A recruiter/sourcer should never ghost you. I think greener recruiters who are uncomfortable/inexperienced giving feed and haven’t been coached on how to do it take the easy way out.
