I have around 6 years of experience as SE but have struggled to boost my compensation in these years. I make 180 p.a in Bay Area.
I understand I need to leetcode, but say, hypothetically, without a competing offer, if I get an offer in one of the FAANG (not Facebook, netflix, google), how much increase in compensation could I expect?
If I am going to interview in Amazon or Apple, what number can I realistically quote while filling out the preliminary recruiter application form?#software #swe #software #engineering

In worst case if you get like 250k TC you can re-interview in a year and try to search another job already standing at 250k TC and a year FAANG experience, aiming for 350k
You can easily get to 250-300 range with just one offer.
Just leetcode and interview.
