Maybe if Twitch stops hemorrhaging money they would have a case to keep their culture. Like I said before -the pieces of Twitch that make money were invented and are operated by AWS. Amazon is a lot of terrible things, but above all they know how to run a business.
And Twitch are babies, dude. The executives are scared of Amazon. The new grads with fake director titles and no game industry knowledge are babies. The Twitch BD who badmouth Amazon to the customers (we introduced them to) are maybe the biggest babies of all.
Your reputation among executives in the game industry is not good, and getting worse the more Twitch insist on being "not Amazon". I've gotten numerous complaints in the last year from customers about how unprofessional Twitch is.
Microsoft has many more perks (gym memberships, campus food courts, etc) plus competitive wages. From what I've heard their culture is changing to me more fluid but there is a reason so many long term Microsofties seem to transitioning or atleast interviewing at AWS lately.
