Rejected from AWS and a new recruiter is emailing from…AWS

Do they not look people up to see if they’ve already been rejected? Or are they just desperate to hire and want to give me a redo?

Not much interest in working there but I’d rather do practice interviews at a place where I don’t mind rejection.

You can get rejected by one team but accepted by another. It's expected that you improve over time.

Recruiters will feed the PIP machine with fresh meat or they get thrown into it themselves.

I had exact same stuff with amazon few weeks back. I just played it along, and expressed my interest.

Then they came back saying we noticed you already appeared for test recently but we are still interested in giving another chance.

    I was like… oh ok

recruiters get commission after you have joined and successfully survived for 3 months in that job. They don’t give a rat’s ass about anything. If there is a man with a pulse then no harm in pushing him. My friend is one. He placed a senior person with 15YOE in a senior role. That guy crushed the interviews, perfect resume, experience exact match and his commission was close to 10k. Guess what, that guy quit after 2 months, he did not get a dime. So for recruiters it does not matter all is a lucky shot. The more people they can get through the funnel the faster the better. That’s why you see so many messages on Linked-in. They spam everyone from an intern to CEO.
