Google Finance (Seattle) competing offers

Nov 30, 2021 12 Comments

Hi all- A recruiter reached out to me for a Google Finance role in Seattle. I want to try to have competing offers from other companies and was wondering if anyone had any insight into which companies Google would care about/ match or beat?
Any other insights about the process are greatly appreciated

Competing offers in Finance roles are uncommon at levels below director because there are enough good candidates out there, unlike SWE

This is kind of a “your mileage may vary” thing. My colleagues have been able to recruit for multiple companies and get completing offers at the analyst/manager level. Perhaps not like in the software world but certainly not uncommon below director either.

One thing to keep in mind, with 4 YOE, it is virtually guaranteed you would come into Google as an L4 ( FA II) MAYBE an L5 (SFA). Definitely not FM.
However either way your TC will be higher than what you make now. L4 you might get TC $200K.

Something to think about if you care about title (although most roles at Google experience this)

Edit: I see you’re in Seattle. The $200K above is definitely Bay Area. Not sure about seattle.
