San Francisco now has the highest sublease availability in the country, with about 30% of the available space in the city being listed by tenants, according to data firm CoStar Inc.
In Silicon Valley, the problem isn’t as bad. While sublease has increased to about 2.5% of total market space from about 2.2% in the fourth quarter of 2019, it is still a lot lower than the 3.5% level it hit in 2018, according to CoStar.

End of story, if your system cannot keep people off the streets it doesn't work, period. If they cannot afford to live in the area then they ultimately don't get to live in the most expensive city in the US. I'm sorry, you don't just get to pick where you want to live if you can't afford it. No one has that privilege yet somehow homeless people do?
You realize why homeowners don't want low income housing near them right? It brings crime, it always does. How about instead of proposing it near them you invite these people into your home. Really, practice what you preach, and I don't want to hear a peep out of you until you prove that you're willing to make the same sacrifice they would.
Also were you proposing section 8 housing or homeless shelters? Important distinction to make because one of those is for people who have no job and no income and frequently are sick or abusers. It also doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that Honey is based in LA. I purposely chose against SF because of your shitty policies that you "claim" to help, but never do.
Stop virtue signaling through policies which don't work. Help the people out of their situation, not coddle them into being dependent on the government. The goal is to eliminate, not assist, homelessness.
