Is ~200k.
400k is 90 percentile.

Of course it may not have accounted for rsu appreciation. But gives an insight into companies' pay.

Blind makes it sound like everyone is getting 400k+.

Is levels data garbage, based on what your company offers you, minus rsu appreciation?

TC 250k/7 yoe.

It’s because the people making 400k+ are working at the highest paying tech companies and including the stock appreciation

No, senior engineers really do make over 400k without stock appreciation

It’s median though. So this counts not top tier companies.

Something ive noticed is people report rsus in the dumbest way. Like 335k over 4 years doesnt mean you should report to levels as your yearly average of rsu.

Because Blind is an echo chamber in itself. Thought this was common sense? And those with abnormally higher TC tend to brag the most.

It's like the crypto market. Feels like everyone is a deca-millionaire when in reality, most are in the negative.

Young people use it more. So they can't predict a median

Any better source that we can look at. I thought it's a sample that reflects bigger population. Personal anecdotes show most people are within that range.
