I have seen lot of posts saying Indians are abusing the H-1B.

First to clarify, Indians are not abusing the system. Some companies from India are abusing the system. So let’s start with stopping to generalize a whole nation.

Next, S386 is not the right solution which many Indians that are in US based on skills agree with as well. They are not opposing it.

Third, deciding EB based GC based on country of birth is not correct. Pace of birth is something no one has control over. So there needs to be a better attribute than country of birth.

Some folks complaining about diversity. Yes, diversity is important but many came to US for better lives. So rather than choosing by country of birth (again soeaking for EB visas) pick some other attribute.

And if you still complain about diversity, then lets stop giving GCs to Germans, French, and folks from Iran, Italy and give it to those countries where there arent many people from. What happened to diversity from 2015 census. Maintain equal diversity in population from all countries. as you can see, we have enough Germans, Mexicans, Irish. English. Italians with more than 20M from each country.

RANT over!

Obligatory TC: $350k

Indians and Chinese are a few billions. Of course you put limit by country of birth if you want to maintain diversity. That’s math

    • Lol EB will still be just 12% of GC even on merit. 88% is still family migration & has per country limits.
You have to be really stupid, racist and bad at basic math to think removing country quota in EB category will make America Indian or Chinese. Lol 😂

  • If so, why don’t u propose a bill to get rid of these “some companies” instead of s386 which helps them get green cards? That’s more reasonable.

Why don’t we do both? GC based on country of birth is still not right, isn’t it?

There’s not much point arguing with people who benefit from a broken system to make them acknowledge it. They’ll just just start with bUt WHat AbOut DiSNey OutSoUrCiNG tO TCs?

    • And so America has stopped giving GCs to Chinese filipinos Mexicans, heck Italians and Germans. Which of these do not do chain migrations? Literally 1M family based GCs every year and you’re worried about chain migration?

@curv you’re either nuts or on drugs. NO H1b is involved in chain migration. H1b does not allow that... even if people want it they can’t try.

This bullshit has not even been stated by Bannon or miller!

How is that racist? There is a difference between not letting people in and saying we need more people of particular race. The latter is racist and it doesn't matter if people in question are a minority or not.
