https://pktpal.com/ The PKT Cube is a hardware device created by PKT Pal that monetizes a home or office internet connection. When the device is plugged into the internet, it simply identifies sources of bandwidth and pays the user every 60 seconds. Internet users who have surplus bandwidth can now turn their used internet bandwidth capacity into cash. The PKT Cube is not actually “using” bandwidth, so there are no privacy concerns and no unique data is transmitted through the PKT Cube. Device cost: 3k Tc:200k
Well i have eth mining rig setup & working fine .. but pkt blockchain mining looks shiny new object. Anyone used it ?
Get paid to be part of a botnet. No experience required! Is your router not sending out numerous requests coordinated with at least 100M other devices? If not, join the winning Botnet team. We provide the hardware and extortion targets, you get a fraction of a Satoshi and possible jail time. Join today while supplies from our ghost run lasts!
Agree to some extent about risk factor... well botnet can be installed anywhere(in your box or cloud). It can be deducted & quarintine. Traffic from router can be easily monitored. Nobody did Decentralizing ISP before. This tech have potential to disrupt isp industries.
Few votes for "not scam" ... care to justify?
i’ve looked into PKT Pal before. It’s definitely not a scam and i do see the potential in this, however mining the coin by “using” your bandwidth is not worth it imo. You need to buy their PKT cube which costs $3000 to get started. You can use your home pc and install the software via a Dockerfile and set it up yourself but it requires a decent CPU to make anything over a dollar a day. Not only do you need a good processor but you also need to leave your machine running 24/7 to actually get more than a few dimes. I do however think their concept of a decentralized ISP is awesome it could be a game changer if enough people participate. But the same could be said about a lot of Dapps and Defi projects i guess. For anyone wondering what the ROI is, if you have a Ryzen 5 3600 and you leave your computer on 24/7 you’ll get about $3-$4 per day (of course there are a variety of factors that go into this) which isn’t terrible but still pretty bad considering the initial cost of the pc build and utility of running your machine constantly.
That ROI *is* terrible. It will probably add as much to your electricity bill if it is extremely compute heavy like you said.
Well it’s cpu heavy but afaik cpu usage isn’t nearly as taxing to your power supply unit (therefore utility bill) as gpu’s are. but yeah i think trying to mine isn’t worth it anyway. but their white paper on a p2p internet provider is pretty awesome
