  I like working at Amazon. I have great wlb (40 hours/week), I’m satisfied with pay (182k sde1, 1yoe), my manager cares a lot about my success, my coworkers are all caring and down to earth, and I get to work on really interesting projects.

I had someone at another FAANG offer me a job. He was nice, friendly and seemingly easy going. I looked him up on LinkedIn and found out he was a manager at Amazon. I asked about him with some mutual friends and was told he was like an abuser and a “master PIP initiator”. It was like finding out your neighbor was a war criminal for crimes against humanity and was inviting you to their basement. I felt like I dodged the biggest bullet ever there.
