Noticed recently that several senior people I know don’t have LinkedIn presence at all… why would you chose that? (Sr staff, Sr staff/team lead, front line people manager. One at Adobe two at other big tech companies)

I don’t think having a LinkedIn is a mandatory requirement for a job, including senior?

Cuz some recruiters/sales are great sales people and can run circles around our higher ups lacking EQ... Haven't you had calls from other recruiters telling you your directs are looking for work and they can help you find a replacement.... ??? I don't care if ppl are always looking but I don't like how some of these recruiters operate. I think half my bosses would have been hustled into feeling angry at me with tactics like these. It's best to lay low...

Not at current employer, but at many others, 2/3 of my job is making sure some outsider does not manipulate my higher ups... They don't have great EQ. The only higher ups I never worry about are ppl with significant ownership. They tend to know how to deal with manipulation. They tend to not have any EQ but just want to make money.. Jedi mind tricks don't work on them.

  • Most of then have no intention of moving out. Even if they do, they will have enuf contacts at that level to secure an interview
