The Bay Area/Silicon Valley culture sucks
I have never worked for a Bay Area/Silicon Valley company before. But I now work with a lot of people who are live there and are used to that culture.
As someone used to living in the real world, it seems like people there are spoiled brats and cry babies used to companies giving them lots of stuff and used to being paid tons of money.
Grow up. Work pays you what you are worth and to do a job, they give you the tools to get your job done - a desk, a laptop and maybe a Keurig machine for coffee. If you want better coffee, buy it from Starbucks.
Don’t cry and whine if work doesn’t give you more than that.
Fair or harsh?
Edit: This generated a lot of hate and support. I would be curious to find out if most of the hate was from Bay Area people and most of the support was from people in the rest of the U.S….or not…
People in the Bay Area should think about the fact that America is a big country and the Bay Area does not equal the USA.
