Some legacy adtech still has scala in the front end but those should be replaced soon if they haven’t been already.
Some of our data systems use Scala like parts of Kafka. A few data systems and infra are developed in c++.
Scala is used most by people who use Spark such as data engineers and AI.
Everything else is Java. Java without Spring.
