Has anyone interviewed with Jump trading crypto QR role recently? what type of questions do they ask? The have asked for an initial 30 min coding interview. I was wondering whether this is just a classical LC type problem or do they expect to write smart contracts?

As for Jump - the code question will not be about smart contracts. It will likely be a LC medium difficulty question. There will likely not be a mental math test, that's just for trading usually.
I'm in QR at JPM (I have a stats PhD). What specifically is your PhD in? Do you know how to code in either Python or C++?
Idk if anything's different for the crypto QR role, but for plain vanilla QR, beyond the typical LC & probability, you can expect C++ specific questions, multithreading, and sometimes they annoyingly ask very low level questions (yes, for research roles).
Also try to interview with Virtu if you're interviewing with Jump. I heard Jump/Virtu double each other's offers.
