I was told to apply for a RS II role in Seattle by Amazon Recruiter. I did and got scheduled for phone interview next week. Recruiter wanted me to get back to her via email to a list of questions prior to the phone interview with one of which was "what is my expected TCC?".

I'm currently a DS in Boston with ~4 yoe working for a small company with low TC (100K). So I would personally be happy with 200K especially given that I haven't even completed my master's yet (currently working on it part-time). But I don't want to undersell myself either at the same time.

Any help in how to get back to the recruiter or coming up with a fair market value would be much appreciated. Would also highly appreciate any tips on how to best prepare for the technical phone interview as this is my first time interviewing for a FAANG. Thanks in advance!

You could look at SDE bands since there's more data on SDE salaries

But I think CloudTown has a better idea in any case. I'm exAMZN too but had no idea of RS comp while I was there

To be fair I had a small sample size and the bands are huge. I think SDE was slightly larger target comp but also very stock heavy. My point is more that the title should match the skills you want to be measured against from a growth path/future TC perspective.

Needless to say, I'm not even expecting to proceed much into the interview process or get an offer, which is why it makes this process of coming up with TC more difficult
