Had my first interview with Convoy a few weeks ago. They seemed really excited, liked my work. Had a second call with the hiring manager, sounded like everything was going well. Supposedly their senior designers were both out for like a week and I was supposed to get an invite to schedule my next call which was a portfolio review, for which they even asked me to prep a deck and not just go through my projects on my website.
Which, for a design interview is not as easy as plopping screenshots into a quick powerpoint. It took me *HOURS* to put the deck together, and now I'm being ghosted? This is so weird and unprofessional. I even recall someone from Convoy mentioning on a post here on Blind not too long ago that their teams desperately needed designers.
What is up with some of these companies who think they're too good to email someone back? Weird!

Treat it as practice and move on. A team that acts this way could be a red flag for a poor working environment.
