Edit: I apologize for this comment. I associate msft with internet explorer and windows vista so I freaked out. I do think that under Satya Nadella MSFT has significantly improved and probably way better place for us than FB or something else.

  Regarding Microsoft exit: most of us came from companies like Google, Facebook or at least rejected the offers of those. We joined Bytedance to exchange real stocks for some paper money since we expected the company’s valuation to go up by a lot. So Microsoft exit is definitely not what most of us were looking forward to.
  
  That being said, definitely better than ban and no money (which is something most of us expected could happen when we left our previous jobs)
