I was rejected for a second time after making it to the onsite round twice within six months (non SWE, but quant analyst) for nearly identical positions. Felt good about the onsite this time but I wonder if I f'edd up big time to be rejected again. Didn't receive much feedback other than what seemed like a generic rejection email. I understand how each interview and rejection is an opporunity to reflect and learn from the experiences, but I'm incredibly discouraged as I begin to take each rejection more and more personally (do I come off as just not likeable?). Just needed to get that off my chest, thanks for reading.
What’s the generic rejection email? Detail plz
Google is just a notoriously difficult company to get into for many reasons. Google isn't afraid of rejecting good people. Your interview packet got rejected by one HC but a different HC might have accepted you. Dont fret, Google's hiring practices are just difficult and at times random
They do rejection emails? It should be a phone call
Both times they were emails, after the final on-site rounds too
Was there constructive feedback or was it a generic rejection?
How do you interview within 6months? I thought the cool down is an year
If I’m not mistaken, that cool off period might only be for engineering or developer roles?
I applied for similar roles as you - quant/data. My recruiter told me cool down is 18-24 months. Mind sharing insights from the interview process?
did a phone interview with them. the hiring manager extremely interested brining me in. received a generic rejected email from the same recruiter after 6 minths
It took you six months from phone interview to rejection?
yes. I email the recruiter multiple times. no reply
Did you go to HC at all?
3rd time’s the charm
I hope so!
I’m sorry to hear that. Which location if I may ask?
