Hootsuite Vancouver Salaries

I had a chat with someone who works for Hootsuite . He's trying to get me to join and claims that they pay Senior devs up to to 160k and their Intermediate devs much more than 100k. I'm skeptical about this as these numbers are not in line with Glassdoor (or it could be out of date) and I hear from other people that Hootsuite pays very low. Does anyone have any insight to this ?

  • Numbers claimed seem a little high. Seniors are hard to get tho. Look at Amazon in Vancouver and work down from there.

    They’re paying lower these days, budget cuts and holiday parties just got scrapped. Future doesn’t look good

    Update - they let a bunch of technical people go today, had one of them announce it themselves at a presentation and then quickly flipped it to a positive where they announced a bunch of Directors were being promoted to Senior Directors - some for no good reason, and some not even in the role a few months or not qualified for a Director role to begin with. Complete sh*t show, my advice - stay well clear. The good people are leaving or are being ‘exited’ out as they raise concerns about this sinking ship. Expect more layoffs in the new year as money is getting tighter. No Christmas party and no kick off for 2018. Writing is on the wall. Google about Build Direct, Hootsuite looking like it will be next.
