Companies sponsoring green card who don’t use Fragomen

Been screwed by fragomen a few times. Looking for other companies who use other outside law firms. If you can let me know the name of company and law firm I really appreciate it. (Especially if you had a good experience with them)

    BAL vs Fragomen:

The only reason you want to work with either one is you haven't had to deal with them before and you've been screwed by the other.

    They are both equally horrible.

The thing to know about both of them is that they have SERVICE LEVELS, and what matters more than the company is which service level you got. At their higher service levels they are both good but most companies pay for the lowest level of service, meaning your case goes through all assembly line that will go smoothly only if your case is very generic.

    • This is true. There is a negotiated “SLA” for each step with each company. Just as an example: 3 days to assess case. 1 day to submit LCA after posting. 2 days to file after receiving signatures. Whatever. Then, all the step updates get made into reports and sent to companies to confirm SLAs are being met. Also depends on HR quality I would add. The company can have a good SLA but if HR doesn’t answer questions or is slow to give signatures, it will be slow since SLA is only activated once info/docs are received.

  • I personally feel not all fragomen are same. Hear me out: So my friend works at Intel and another friend works at VMware. My VMware friend finds fragomen to be pretty responsive and stuff. Intel on the other hand seem to be very slow in responding and applying for stuff. My theory is maybe fragomen has different packages for companies. By this I mean they may be allocating resources based on how much/what level of service a company asks for?

  • Last year when visa bulletin dates moved forward rapidly Fragomen lied through its teeth to MSFT about the current status of all 485 applications.

Had it not been for vb dates extending in the next month they would have totally screwed over a LOT of MSFT employees.

Since then their contract with MSFT had been terminated. I am glad they are not part of MSFT roaster anymore.

It's not Fragomen.. It's the service level that your company pays for.. Amazon also uses BAL and I've heard negative stuff from friends as well though other people mentioned good about it above.
