I applied for a product design role at FB through a referral and received a reject email saying I wasn't considered after a careful review.
However, I noticed not one person visited my portfolio (I have only applied to fb and have been tracking with analytics), or checked out my LinkedIn profile (have premium), and I don't believe my referrer had my resume when he referred me (unless he copied from LinkedIn). There were also new product design openings posted on LinkedIn jobs no more than a week ago so I figured it can't be cuz of hiring freeze.
Does anybody have any insights on what happened or know if something went wrong in the process? Should my referrer have had a copy of my resume when he referred? But my referrer didn't ask for one.
I'm not sure how the process works but it just feels bad to be rejected knowing nobody reviewed my portfolio or resume so can't understand how they came to that decision. Any info can be helpful. Thanks y'all.
