Attend Algo course first or start with Elements of Programming Interviews

I am not from CS background and I have been in Operations/DevOps for a long time. I do programming/scripting in Python, but not like a programmer or developer. I never had to use any Algos for my requirements. Most of them were either simple or straight-forward. I want to start preparing for programming interviews.

Should I start with an Algorithms course like MIT/Stanford/Coursera first or start with "Elements of Programming Interviews: Python" book?

I don't know why I am tagging Google, Facebook, and Linkedin here :) I am sure folks from these companies must be good at Algos and interviews.

Thanks for your help.
