I have couple of offers coming in and I’m in non tech located in Asia.

Uber eats: 120k + 24k bonus + 27k equity vest every month. It’s a good offer honestly, but I’m not too optimistic about their eats growth in Asia. Feels like a dying business. That’s what that’s holding me back.

Google: slightly above 120k + bonus + equity (to be confirmed). I heard the manager is really experienced and nice to work with. Downside is just that Google is huge, unsure about future growth.

LinkedIn: pending confirmation, but likely in the base 130k range. Team is quite good during interviews. Very typical LinkedIn good vibes. Downside is that I heard it’s pretty much time-based promotion, less merit based. Esp since I’m in apac, tiny market.

I have pending interviews with databricks, but they are moving so slow. I’m in very early stage with them now. I wonder if I should still wait for them… they are great, pre-IPO, new team.. but so slow to the point that I think they might have internal candidates.

Keen to hear opinions from blind.

  • You’re definitely right about UE in Asia. Hard pass.

Promotions will be tough both in Google and LinkedIn. Databricks may be great. That IPO will be nice. Do you want to share what role? May help give more insight.

Strategy related role,m. But databricks is quite slow. HR said she will reach out since two weeks ago but never even heard a pin drop

      Sorry what does UE mean.
      Any Thoughts around LI apac?

That sounds like Databricks is ghosting you :/ Probably just gotta make the decision with the offers you have.
Don’t know too much about LI APAC except everyone there is really fulfilled and happy with their jobs. Feel like LI does a relatively good job at making sure people in the non-NAMER offices are recognized.

Google and LI both have their pros and cons, so I’d probably just let the one with the higher comp win.

You're worried about future growth at Google? You mean your personal growth or the growth of the company?

Because Google grew like 40-60% in the last year, depending on whether you think this correction will last long.
