My FMLA was approved and I wanted to if I will get paid for the period approved? I asked my case manager but don't seem to be getting straight answers - just responses such as "I'm busy" . I have been asked to apply to the state (WA) for short term disability and beyond this It's either been vague responses or radio silence. Has anyone ever been through the process and can shed light on how this works?

Nevertheless, I have been diagnosed as having anxiety and depression by my therapist 8 years back. Since then I am on/off with her. I want a break and I have been with Amazon for 5 years. I have been reading posts that only a MD can get your paid FMLA approved. My therapist is MA, FMLT, psychotherapist. Will her diagnosis not enough to get me paid FMLA/STDL? She thinks I might need 6 months to recover. I have been through a lot, death, divorce, domestic violence case. Any pointers would help.
