Interview experience - FB v/s Intuit
Hi All - Just sharing my recent interview experience with these 2 companies. I have gained quite a bit of information from Blind community and so I am hoping this can help someone else like me:
TC (Current) - $250K
FB (IC4 Offer) - $200K
Intuit (Principal Offer) - $300K
YoE - 12 yrs
Field - Supply Chain
FB - EE team - Went through a recruiter interview then HM interview and finally 5 on-sites 45 mins each. I had a good time interviewing with the group, Qs were not repeated and everyone had different skill set they were testing for. After ~ 10 days, recruiter mentioned they would like to offer me the role but need Dir/VP level approvals. Fast forward 6 weeks later, a rather low ball offer came through and they didn't negotiate much in spite of me having another offer.
Intuit - Similar interview setup like FB, however they had me do a role specific case study presentation with the entire interview team. The day after final interviews, they had me talk to their VP and the following day gave me a verbal offer.
With FB, My initial interviews started at the same time with EE as well as AR/VR teams where I went through recruiter and HM screening but things proceeded quickly with EE and I wasn't aware that at a time only 1 team can show interest in a candidate. I feel like I was unlucky as recruiter wasn't much helpful nor did I have an opportunity to go through final rounds with the other team given the prolonged decision making with EE.
I decided to take Intuit offer! Pay is certainly important but was also impressed with the entire interview experience and the faith they showed in me.
