Amazon has so many employees taking paid leaves. As part of #STDI policy (that pays up to 60% of your base during an eligible leave), they say the benefits are reduced by any other income you receive, including contract work.

Normally in WA, it's already always reduced by the amount of state-paid #FMLA benefits; same in California and any other state that provides state benefits (in fact, you're then required to file the leave with the state and collect from the state in addition to Amazon, so it's actually better to be in a state with no such benefits if you work at Amazon).

Has anyone had the provision enforced, and required to pay their STDI back to Amazon for OnlyFans or GitHub sponsorship or any other donation, hackathon or contract work you've received/performed during the leave? #tech #amazonbenefits #amazonaws
